Keep each African destination quotation separate
Cross-border machinery enquiries need a clear destination and unloading plan. A quotation prepared for one port or country should not be reused as a landed-cost estimate for another.
Before you request your quotation
- Provide the destination country, seaport and final delivery town, together with model, drive type, quantity, intended farm work and any implement list. For an inland destination, identify the planned transit port.
- Ask for tractor and implement prices, packing condition, ocean freight and any insurance to be shown separately. Inland transport and destination charges should be confirmed for the actual route.
- Before arranging shipment, ask your local clearing agent to check the required documents and confirm the buyer details. Match the unit identification and packing records to the agreed equipment list.
Confirm the written offer
Check the model and configuration, quantity, included equipment, delivery basis and quotation validity. Final specifications, availability, packing and shipping costs should be confirmed in the written offer.
